Chairman of DPD RI Conveys Condolences for the Lion Air JT 160 Incident

Padang, dpd.go.id (29/10) – The Chairman of DPD RI, Oesman Sapta, expressed his condolences for the incident of the fall of the Lion Air JT 160 flight to Jakarta-Pangkal Pinang in Karawang waters. He hoped there are still survivors of the incident.

"I on behalf of DPD RI throughout Indonesia expressed condolences for this accident. Hopefully there will be survivors, we hope for the best, "said Oesman Sapta in an interview at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang (29/10).

Oesman Sapta hoped that the community is not too early in drawing conclusions about the cause of the crash. Oesman Sapta argued that the new aircraft operated 800 hours and for pilots themselves had flight delays of more than 6,000 hours. He hoped that the investigation of this incident is left to the authorities. Even so, he hoped that all airlines can improve safety standards. The goal is that similar incidents will not occur in the future.

"Caution must be taken by all flights worldwide before departing. We don't know what the cause is, it must be submitted first to be examined, so we can really find out what the cause is. Do not make any kinds of accusition," ordered this Senator of West Kalimantan.
