Ginandjar Kartasasmita was re-elected as the DPD senator representing West Java Province in 2009 legislative elections to choose senators of the DPD. This Vice Chairman of the MPR for Golkar faction won the most votes with 3031471 votes. According to the man, born in Bandung, 9 April 1941, who is also a doctoral HC from Takushoku University, Tokyo (1994), the presence of DPD is important in the reformation of RI administration system. The presence of DPD is expected to strengthen representative institutions in Indonesia democratic system so that it is more aspirational and balanced among the regions and territories. Ida, so call this guy friend, is a member of the Regional Representative Council representing the province of Southeast Sulawesi. H. Irman Gusman, SE, MBA is known as one of the Muhammadiyah figure. This man, born in Padang Panjang, February 11, 1962, was graduated from Master of Businees Administration University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA. As the son of the region, as many as 293,070 people of West Sumatera’s votes had put Irman on the first rank in the election of senator of DPD on last April, 9th 2009. For Irman-so-he familiarly called, life can be happy if their activities are beneficial for others. Like the motto of life Irman always adhered to, “the best of men are those who give benefit as much as possible for human beings”. “I hope my presence in the DPD can be useful for people in Padang, West Sumatera, Insya Allah,” said Irman.
