Secretariate General of DPD RI Collaborates with BPS and BIG

Jakarta, dpd.go.id - The House of Regional Representatives (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG). The signing was a collaboration to support the implementation, development, utilization of data and information for DPD RI.

Secretary General of DPD RI, Reydonnyzar Moenek appreciates this collaboration. Because the functions and duties of the DPD RI must be supported by the availability of complete data and information.

"Especially with the new DPD RI's authority, namely monitoring and evaluation of the draft regulation and local regulations requiring non-geospatial and geospatial statistical data and information," Reydonnyzar said at the Nusantara V GBHN Room, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday (9/1).

Reydonnyzar said in the current era of government, where work efficiency and effectiveness are the benchmarks for assessing the success of work programs. It is very appropriate and is a strategic first step to foster institutional cooperation relations between the DPD RI and BPS and BIG. "The aim is to synchronize work in supporting the main tasks of each institution," he said.

In addition, according to Reydonnyzar, this collaboration strongly supports the task of DPD RI in providing digital and printed data and information. Not only that, it also supports data analysis for the construction of recording problems about Natural Resources and Human Resources. "Even this collaboration can also support data analysis for the development of regional development priorities," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of BPS Suhariyanto appreciated the first collaboration with DPD RI. This collaboration can be a good output. "We know that the tasks of DPD are very heavy, so DPD requires both social and economic data. "This economic data is not only seen nationally, but also in districts / cities," he said.

Suhariyanto also explained that his party currently also provides 'face friendly' data such as Indonesia's democracy index, divorce rate, and anti-corruption spirit data. "The anti-corruption spirit in the community is very high. Maybe this could also be the input of DPD RI in acting anti-corruption, "he explained.

On the same occasion, BIG Main Secretary Muhtadi Ganda Sutrisna also appreciated the collaboration with DPD RI. With this collaboration, it is expected that many will be more concerned with geospatial. "Geospatial is very important in the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW). So geospatial is important for regions in network nodes, "he concluded.

Muhtadi also said that it was in accordance with President Joko Widodo's mandate regarding the geoportal one map policy. So in the future BIG will go on a large scale mapping. "We cannot run the mandate on a large scale alone. Because we have thousands of islands, "he said.

Previously, President Joko Widodo had launched the One Map Geoportal Policy. The same map reference base will increase the reliability of information regarding the location of various economic activities so as to provide business certainty.

Various information compiled in one map can also be used for a number of simulations, including disaster mitigation. This policy began since the issuance of Presidential Regulation Number 27 of 2014 concerning the National Geospatial Information Network and its acceleration was included in Presidential Regulation Number 9 of 2016.
