Committee IV Recommends DAU to be Final


Jakarta, dpd.go.id - "The government should strengthen the budget allocation for priority programs such as infrastructure, education and health," says Chairman of Committee IV DPD RI, Ajiep Padindang. This was delivered by Ajiep in the 7th Special Plenary Session of DPD RI at Nusantara V Building, Parliament Complex of Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (7/6/2017) afternoon.

Furthermore, Ajiep says the target of reducing the unemployment rate in 2018 is 5.26 percent, due to the improving economy and investment. Meanwhile, the policy of general allocation fund (DAU) 2018 is predicted to increase but the ceiling of DAU is not final.

"We hope the DAU is final to ensure accountability and certainty of APBD. This is important for the region, so that the potential of the region can be maximized, "explains Ajiep while reading the recommendation about the Fiscal Policy Principal and Transfer Fund to the Region in RAPBN 2018.

Responding to the Consideration submitted, the 7th Extraordinary Plenary Session of DPD RI ratified the DPD Consideration on Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Principal and Transfer Fund to the Region in RAPBN 2018.

Before closing the session, Chairman of DPD RI, Oesman Sapta reminds the senators to improve performance for the benefit of society and the region. Then, the 13th plenary session of DPD RI will be held on 21 July with the agenda of report on the progress of the organ’s tasks and decision making of DPD RI. (Dew)
