DPD RI Recieves a visit from West Tanjung Jabung DPRD


Jakarta, dpd.go.id - The House of Regional Representative of the Republic of Indonesia represented by Daryati Uteng and Abdul Azis Khafia received a visit from Member of Commission III of DPRD of West Tanjung Jabung Regency Jambi Province at Committee I Meeting Room, Jakarta on Friday (4/5) .

Chairman of Commission III of DPRD of West Tanjung Jabung Regency, Hamdani said that their visit this time discussed the acceleration of development of West Tanjung Jabung Regency, especially regarding infrastructure, health of hospital building, school building, and rural electricity network. "The long-awaited of society since long is clean water, of course clean water development require a large amount of fund, hopefully DPD can become our tongue connector," said Hamdani.

Furthermore, West Tanjung Jabung Regency Legislative Member, Abdul Halid Usman brings his people's aspirations about village funds. He explained that the area of West Tanjung Jabung has 114 villages and 20 villages, but the village fund received only 112 villages. "Many urban villages want to be village because of the village funds, can they become a village," said Abdul.

Another member of West Tanjung Jabung Regency DPRD also conveyed the people's aspirations on spatial issues and the construction of a sports center building.

Responding to their aspirations, Senator of DPD RI from Jambi Province as well as member of Committee IV Daryati Uteng said that in terms of development and infrastructure, although the authority of DPD RI does not discuss budgeting, DPD RI will continue to fight if there will be a chance to have a Working Meeting with related ministries.

Regarding the village fund which is the initiative of DPD RI, Daryati explained that the village fund is intended to build a remote village. "If the urban village means that the city has been developed and that the village will be developed, there will be infrastructure built from the village funds," she explained.

Members of Committee I DPD RI, Azis Khafia also added that the spirit of village funds is the empowerment of the village. "If the region progresses, then the country is also advanced, so the development should start from the bottom line," said this senator from Jakarta.

On the occasion, Azis Khafia explained in the supervision of village funds since 2015-2017, DPD RI had noted there are a number of problems including overlapping regulatory issues implementation, the parliamentary problem among the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of PDTT and the Ministry of Finance is not clear, about the formulation village funds and on village fund governance and BUMD's assistance.
