Jakarta, dpd.go.id - Welcoming the holy month of Ramadan 1433 H, the National Unit KORPRI Secretariat General of DPD RI held an event entitled tausiyah Munggahan on Thursday (19/07/2012). Located on the plaza Building DPD RI, Senayan, Jakarta, the event is for civil servants and workers in the Setjend DPD RI. With the theme of “While Doing Worhip of Fasting Ramadan We Improve the Amanah Work ethic “, the event which organized regularly year before Ramadan is expected to provide motivation to all employees in order to keep the spirit of duty in fasting month.

On this occasion, Ustadz Fikri Haikal Zainuddin gives tausiyah associated with Ramadan. As spoken by God in Q.S. Al-Baqarah: 183, the order of fasting in Ramadan is only addressed to those who believe; therefore anyone who claims to believe should carry out this command. “If we claim to believe and feel compelled to the calling, we must obey,” said Fikri.

Furthermore, Ustadz Fikri who is the son of Alm. K.H. Zainuddin M.Z. also warned about some of the things that invalidate fasting and things that canceled the reward of fasting. “The majority of us can avoid the things that break the fast but hard to avoid the things that invalidate the fast reward,” he said. Some of the things that invalidate the fast is eat and drink intentionally, intentional vomiting and husband-wife relationship that is done intentionally (at noon). Above all of them, the most severe expiation (penalty) is when the husband-wife did it on purpose. “Based on the hadith of the prophet, the expiation is to free one slave, fast two consecutive months or feed 60 poor people as much as one mud (untill full),” said Ustadz Fikri.

Meanwhile, among the things that break the fast is gossiping, going to sinful place or doing other immoral things. “All of that is not breaking the fast, but canceled the reward of fasting, so we are fasting but will not get anything. The Prophet said, how many people are fasting, but get nothing but hunger and thirst, “she added.

Tausiyah was ended with a joint prayer led by Ustadz Fikri and was amen by the Jama’a. After the show closed, the audience stood up and shook hands with each other to ask for forgiveness. (Af)
