Committee I DPD RI ready to discuss the Bill on Acceleration Development on Islands Region –

In the meeting it is proposed that the title of the bill can be changed into “The Bill on Acceleration Development on Islands Region.” It was based on the argument that the island region is recognized as a unit of Regional government with special character. With a presence of the Bill on the Implementation of Government on Islands Region, the bill was created as a consequence of asymmetric decentralization system and the implications of regional government system. The hearing chaired by the Vice Chairman of Committee I DPD RI, Paulus Yohanes Sumino, located in DPD RI Building, Parliament Complex – Senayan, Tuesday (03/07/2012).
