Related to PDT-Bill, Andrew Patton suggested that special treatment for the border areas should be included connected to the empowerment of human resources in order to encourage economic growth and as well as to manage the border area in an integrated and realistic ways and also included the difference between disadvantaged areas in the border areas and not in the border area because of the differences in characteristics in the bill on the Development of Underdeveloped Regions.
At the end of the public hearing (RDPU), Committee II suggested that the DPD RI can facilitate seminars devoted to on Underdeveloped Regions by inviting the government of the Ministry of Finance, Bappenas, the Ministry of PDT, the Ministry of National Education and Ministry of Public Works and Provincial / District of Underdeveloped Regions to create a masterplan in accelerating , improving the welfare of the community with regard to the potential and the support and direction of the development for the Underdeveloped Regions.
