Jakarta, dpd.go.id – The Working Team Meeting on State Territory Supervision of Committee I DPD RI (16/01/2012) the Law No. 43 of 2008 has a purpose to enforce the sovereignty of the country but only to make rules about the territory, people who are in the border region have the impression as the marginalized people and have less attention from the Central Government, as a result there is the omission of the people in the border region.

During 66 years Society in border areas feel so neglected by the state, that their nation awareness is considered very low. Surely this deserves to get attention and be alerted by the government, because population in border areas is the frontline or the leading gate to the territory of Indonesia.

The Working Team on State Territory Supervision which was discussed by Ir. Emanuel Babu Eha wished the border markers which are missing or danger of being lost can be installed by the Local Government because it is associated with the state sovereignty, the approach to society should be prosperity rather than security.
