Jakarta, dpd.go.id – For the first time after the DPD Plenary Session in Session Period III Year 2011-2012 (12/01/2012), Committee I DPD RI held the First Plenum Session, located at the Parliament Complex, Senayan-Jakarta, Monday (16/01/2012).

The session began with the delivery of the Council Introduction by Laode Ida (Vice-Chairman of the DPD RI). He offered three drafts of Bill for consideration by the Committee I DPD RI, among others, Defense and Security Industry Bill, Regional Election Bill and Bill on Village. Related to the Defense and Security Industry Bill which is considered something new, Laode appealed to the DPD RI to give special attention in order to be more independent in fulfilling the defense and security industry and not to be dependent with the production of other countries.

Furthermore, the plenum approved the activity schedule of Committee I, working visit plan, the ratification of expert staff and the establishment of the Working Team of Committee I DPD RI.
