The Discussion on Regional Expansion, Spatial Planning and Land In the Session of Task Team III of Committee I DPD RI

Jakarta, dpd.go.id – The Task Team III of Committee I DPD RI held a meeting in order to discuss follow-up to the aspirations of the community and the region on Tuesday (24/01/12). The Meetings led by Kamaruddin (senator from Southeast Sulawesi Province) was held in Meeting Room of BK Building B 3rd floor DPD RI.

Meeting agenda discussed about three things: 1. Regional expansion; 2. Spatial Planning; 3. Land. Related to expansion issue, Rahmat Shah (senator from North Sumatra Province) conveyed that there are still areas in conflict about it. “Redistricting in Deli Serdang is finished but conflicts in some villages have not been completed. How is the solution to solve this problem?” asked Rahmat Shah.

Responding to the question from Rahmat Shah, Kamaruddin argued that the solution is by harmonizing duties and authorities of the various related stakeholders in the region to be completed together.

Next to the second issue concerning the spatial, Kamaruddin revealed that the problem of Spatial Planning is quite difficult. “The most complicated is associated with the Ministry of Forestry as some regions proposed change in the status of the forest. For example protected forest turns into production forest even some have proposed to be APL (Other Designated Areas). For that we need to do Public Hearing Meeting (RDP) with the relevant agencies, primarily the Ministry of Forestry,” said Kamarudin.

Further, related to land issue, Rahmat Shah as Chairman of the Working Team on Land conveyed that matters relating to land issue are very complex. “This matter of land is no longer associated with BPN, forestry and related institutions but is dealing with the law. For example there are cases of purchase of the property, there is a clean letter and have no problem in the exposure, but it is suddenly evicted. Or there is the decision of the court that is auctioned, the auction is bought but the house cannot be possessed. Overcoming these problems we have been in touch with the State Secretariat and they promised to facilitate, BPN was sure to solve the problem,” said Rahmat Shah.
