Jakarta, dpd.go.id – The 2^nd Plenum of the Committee II DPD RI discussed the Work Plan of the Working Team on Views and Opinions and Expert’s Inventory of the Working Team on Views and Opinions against the bill as well as other experts was held in the boardroom Committee II DPD RI Building B, Senayan, Jakarta Tuesday (17/01/2012).

The discussion set speakers who will be invited in the session discussing the views and opinions of the DPD RI. For Bill on Food the speakers are from Ministry of Agriculture, General Director of Food, Rosmawaty Peranginangin (food expert), Damayanti Buchori (Kehati Foundation), Nur Mahmudi Ismail (the Association of Food Technology Expert), Nuhfil Hanani (food expert), the Governor of NTT, South Sulawesi Governor , Head of Logistics Agency, and the Ministry of Commerce, while the Bill on the Protection and Empowerment of Farmers are from Ministry of Agriculture, Ato Suprapto (Head of Counseling and Agricultural Human Resource Development Agency/BPPSDMP), Dwi Andreas Santosa (IPB/Bogor Agricultural Institute), Dewa Ngurah Suprapta, Head of Logistics Agency, Ministry of Commerce , Association of Agriculture, Endang Lestari Hastuti (Research Center and Agricultural Economic and Social Development), Farmers and Fishermen Group Andalan (KTNA), Distributor Bank of People’s Business Credit especially in Agriculture.

Ahmad Syaifullah Malonda, senator from Central Sulawesi, who is also Chairman of Working Team II (Bill on the Protection and Empowerment of Farmers), stated, “in essence, Food and then Protection and Empowerment of Farmers can not be separated, because the separation will make a different meaning,” Malonda said. Thus, the meeting of working team of Bill on Food and Bill on the Protection and Empowerment of Farmers can be conditioned together, because the material is substantially the same, so everything is together.

Speakers who will be invited in the discussion of the views and opinions about the Bill on the Acceleration of the Disadvantaged Area are State Ministry of Disadvantaged Area Development, Suprayoga Hadi (Deputy of the Special Zone Development KPDT-BAPPENAS), Mulyadi Jayabaya (Chairman of ASKATI/Association of Disadvantaged Area/Lebak Regen), Rural PNPM, Mudrajad Kuncoro (Economic Development Specialist-UGM), Sri Edy Swasono (Professor of Economics UI), Daniel Kameo (Lecturer of Postgraduate UKSW Salatiga), Andri Paton (Head of the Inland Border Area and the Disadvantaged Area Management), National Disaster Management Agency, Human Rights Commission, the Governor of Papua and West Papua, Ministry of Social Affairs, and Regional Head in ten border areas.

The Plenum Session of Committee II DPD RI today also established supervision of Law which was originally the supervision of the Law on Electricity agreed to be Supervision against the Law on Oil and Gas or more precisely energy conversion. Inventory of the speakers are the Minister and Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Kurtubi (Oil and Gas Observer), Head of Implementing Agency of Oil and Gas, Head of Downstream Regulatory Agency of Oil and Gas, President Director of Pertamina, the Oil and Gas Entrepreneurs Association, PT. Dirgantara Indonesia (Executor Converter Kit), Aviliani (economist) and for the supervision of Bill on Disaster Management is Coordinating Ministry for the People’s Welfare Sector, Indonesian Society for Disaster Management, Danang Parikesit, Syamsul Ma’arif (Head of BPNB), Mohammad Roem, Iwan Gunawan (Senior Advisor Disaster of World Bank), Priyanto Djarot Nugroho (Head of Regional Disaster Management Agency), and affected areas like Aceh, Sumatra, East Java, Wasior and Mount Merapi disaster area.
