Plenum Session of Committee III DPD RI the Third Session Period Year 2011 – 2012
Jakarta, dpd.go.id – The plenum session of Committee III that was held today (16/01/2012) initiated a series of session for the Third Session Period Year 2011-2012 which will take place from January until April. The meeting held in the Boardroom of Committee III DPD RI Building, Parliament Complex Senayan Jakarta was led by Chairman of Committee III, Hardi Selamat Hood with the agenda of discussion and ratification of the agenda and activity schedule of Committee III during The Third Session Period Year 2011 – 2012, working visit plan, finalization of the view and opinion of the DPD RI on the Community Organization Bill also materials for working meeting and Public Hearing Meeting (RDP/RDPU).
The opening of the meeting was also attended by Vice-Chairman I of the DPD RI, Laode Ida who provided an introduction in front of the members of Committee III. Laode hoped, the DPD RI including the Committee III may be more sensitive and capable in ding quick response to strategic issues that occur in the field. This, according to Laode will be able to lift the image of the DPD RI in the public’s perspective. “We must be proactive, to detect the field to raise strategic issues, also to follow up on a case, especially the urgent one to be conveyed to the public,” said the senator from Southeast Sulawesi Province.
During this session period, Committee III DPD RI will also focus on Bill of Halal Products Guarantee by inviting some of the relevant competent resource persons and having working visit to several areas considered quite representative for this problem.
Finally, in the meeting that lasted for two hours, Committee III formed four working teams, namely (1) Field of Education and Culture, (2) Field of Employment, Tourism and Sports, (3) Field of Religion and Social Welfare; and (4 ) Field of Health Affairs, Empowerment of Women and Child Protection.
