Jakarta, dpd.go.id – The Plenum of the DPD RI Committee II of Session Period III on Year 2011-2012 was held for the first time after the working visit in region of elections at the meeting room of Committee II, Building B DPD RI, Senayan-Jakarta, Monday (16/01/2012).

Initiate the discussion of the bill to generate views and opinion of DPD RI to the DPR RI, Committee II of DPD RI has received three draft bills which are the Bill on the Protection and Empowerment of Farmers, the Bill on Food, and Bill on Accelerating the Development of Disadvantaged Regions. Therefore, the Chairmen of DPD RI represented by G.K.R Hemas delivered introductory deliberations as mandated by the decision of (Consultative Committee) Panmus DPD RI.

Responding to the views and opinion about the preparation of the DPD RI toward the DPR RI which are DIM from the provinces are essential. “DIM throughout the provinces is the basic thing in the discussion on those views and opinion,” said Bambang Susilo firmly, Chairman of Committee II DPD RI.

During the session, it was also decided the supervision of the Committee II of the legislation which is oversight of The Law No.30 of 2009 on electricity; and The Law No.24 of 2007 on disaster management.
