Committee IV of DPD RI Held Fit and Proper Test for BPK RI Candidates
Jakarta, dpd.go.id – Committee IV of DPD RI held a Submission of Vision and Mission (Fit and Proper Test) for BPK RI Candidates, on Wednesday morning (18/01/12). Committee IV meeting was led by Chairman of Committee IV, Cholid Mahmud (DPD RI Members of Provincial DIY) accompanied by Hasby Anshory (DPD RI members from Jambi Province) as Vice Chairman of Committee IV. In a meeting that took place at the Committee IV Meeting Room on the 2nd floor Building B DPD RI, invited 5 (five) candidates for the BPK RI that each given 40 minutes to deliver the vision and mission.
The first candidate got the opportunity to describe his vision and mission was Drs. Rosjidi, Ak., CFE. He adopted the motto of integrity, free, independent, professional and accountable. In his presentation, Rosjidi delivered 17 points of mission adopted from the duties and authorities of BPK RI. “To improve the accountability of the state finances management that supports the regional advancement in accounting and auditing aspects i.e. by pushing for an improvement over the financial audit findings of BPK in order to improve accountant’s opinion into an unqualified opinion,” said Rosjidi.
The second candidate who also delivered his vision and mission was Farid Prawiranegara, CPA. He argued that Indonesia should be managed federally and related to the role of BPK in the accountability of the state’s progress it must go back to its nature namely examining the state budget. “We have to think objectively, this country should be managed federally although the framework is still NKRI. Therefore the role of the DPD into the senate is very important and should have more authority,” said Farid.
Next, P.M. Banjarnahor became a candidate for Chairman of BPK RI who conveyed his vision and mission in front of the chairman and members of the Committee IV DPD RI. Although Banjarnahor’s educational background is mining, but he has considerable experience in auditing and is able to convince that he is worthy to be recommended as a member of BPK RI. “We have to change our mindset. We are able to become a great nation. If I am elected I will make Indonesia become super power. The key are integrity, teamwork and responsibility,” Banjarnahor explained.
Furthermore, Syafri Adnan Baharuddin, MBA, an accountant, became the fourth prospective member of BPK RI who provided his own vision and mission. In a paper entitled Transformation of Examination of BPK’s Performance in Encouraging the Welfare Nation Realization, Syafri conveyed that the independence, integrity and professionalism are fixed prices that can not be negotiable. Therefore he is motivated to become member of BPK RI in order to maintain the dignity of BPK RI as an independent state agency and is not affected by certain parties.
Closing the vision and mission exposure of the prospective members of BPK RI in the first session of the first day Dairul as the last candidate delivered his vision and mission. Dairul hopes that BPK RI can contribute more in order to realize the financial accountability of the state that supports the regional advancement. For that in his presentation he did not explain many steps he would do if elected to be the member of BPK RI. “Like JK’s promise, I will give evidence not promise,” said Dairul briefly.
Thirty five prospective members of BPK RI are planned to have a fit and proper test with the Committee IV DPD RI. The other candidates are scheduled to deliver their vision and mission on Tuesday (24.01.12).
