Committee I Responds to Regional Community Aspirations

Jakarta, dpd.go.id – In the task team hearing of Committee I DPD RI on Tuesday (24/01/2012), discussed a report from each task field which is the aspiration of regional communities. Related to this, Task Team I, which is represented by Denty Eka Widi P (DPD RI Member of the Central Java Province) to submit a report on the issue of Regional Autonomy, Employee affair, Village, Regional Government, Election and Population. Followed by Emanuel Babu Eha (DPD members of the NTT Province) as the Chairman of Task Team II, who presented the report related to the problems of Central and Regional Relations, Politics, Law, Human Rights and the Border. Ending the submission of reports, Abdurachman (DPD members of Banten Province), represents the task team III, reported the problems of Expansion, Land Disputes, and agrarian conflicts.

Hearing held in Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (25/01/2012) has decided several things, among others:

1. To do a visit to the candidate of New Autonomous Region (DOB) that have been administratively complete;

2. To supervise the Act No. 2 of 2002 on the Police of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the number of cases involving corrupt police who abuse their authority;

3. To appoint the village device into the Civil Servants (PNS) will be discussed later by the team of Village Bill;

4. In connection with the incident in the province of Lampung, Committee I would invite the Chief of Police and the Governor of Lampung in thr Public Hearing to clarify this issue;

5. The team on Land is no longer discussing the Land Bill, but administratively change its name to the bill on the Rights of soil and the Bill of Agrarian Conflict Resolution (in Prolegnas known as Agrarian Court bill);

6. The working team on Land has the discretion to determine the priority of the preparation of both the above bill;

7. To assign six people to become members of the Special Committee on Agrarian Dispute;

8. National Seminar related to the State Border will be held on March 1, 2012.

At the end of the session, committee I asked the expert staff to change the format of recapitulation to be delivered at the next plenary session.
