Abdul Aziz is Trusted to Lead the DPD RI Special Committee on Mining
Jakarta, dpd.go.id – THE Plenum of the Special Committee on Mining that was held in the boardroom of DPD RI Chairman, Nusantara III Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (19/01/2012) was discussing the selection for the leader of DPD RI Special Committee on Mining led by GKR Hemas. As presented in the introductory session, “Mines need reminding DPD committee has the task: First, prepare the grand design of sustainable mining in Indonesia, second, prepare DPD Recommendations and considerations related to the Law no. 4 of 2009 on Mineral and Coal Indonesia and Law No.22 of 2001 on Oil and Gas, “said GKR Hemas.
The special committee on Mining tenure is now entering a period of extension work for three months, starting with the chairman of committee was elected on January 19, 2012 until April 18, 2012. The selection of committee Chairman is conducted because of changes in membership in 2011-2012 fittings so that the membership of special committee on Mining which is the element of representation of Committee also affect changes; therfore, the committee chairman who originally dr. Budi Doku, who moved from Committee II fittings to the Committee I, is currently empty.
The Session for Chairman Elections occurred short because it directly got the word of consensus, Chairman of the special committee on Mining was entrusted to Abdul Aziz (DPD member from South Sumatera), while the vice-chairman is held by Gusti Farid Hasan Aman (DPD member from South Kalimantan) and Carolina Nubatonis Kondo (DPD member from NTT). After the hammer head given by the Vice Chairwoman of the DPD RI to the new chairman, then Aziz led the session and determined that the committee would invite the Minister and Vice Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources for contribution to mining in Indonesia and explanations related to the energy conversion from oil to gas.
