The Activity Report of the DPD RI in the electoral districts in the 6th Plenary Session of the DPD RI

Jakarta, dpd.go.id – The House of Regional Representative (DPD RI) held the 6th plenary session on Session Period II Session Year 2011-2012, at the Nusantara V Building of MPR/ DPD RI, Tuesday (22/11/11) morning. The Plenary session led by Vice-Chairman II of the DPD, G.K.R Hemas, accompanied by Vice-Chairman I of the DPD RI, La Ode Ida, scheduled 3 (three) things: 1. The Opening of Session Period II, Session Year 2011-2012; 2. The Introduction Speech of Session Period II, Session Year 2011-2012 Year; 3. The Activity Report of the DPD RI in the Regional elections.

Associated with the activity report of the DPD RI on electoral districts, it has become the spotlight concerning to the issues done by the DPD fittings such as the related issues: the border region, regional division of land disputes, forestry, infrastructure, education, health, labor , revenue-sharing, the central budget and local governments and others.

With respect to border issues that were analyzed by the Committee I of DPD RI, Muslihuddin Abdurrasyid (DPD RI members from East Kalimantan Province) was expecting some attentions from the government of the people living in border areas. “The development of adequate infrastructure and the need for basic goods that are affordable and easily obtainable are the things that need to be considered by the government. From the existence of these difficulties, if they were being neglected, they can make people change their citizenship, because the existing facilities in Malaysia are better, “said Muslihuddin.

Meanwhile, the problems associated with land disputes that discussed at the Committee II of the DPD, Darmayanti Lubis (DPD members from North Sumatra Province) revealed the presence of land disputes between Palm Growers Farmers Independent and BPN. “We hope there is mediation of the DPD to be able to bridge and resolve land disputes,” hope Darmayanti.

Then the discussion related to the field of Committee III of DPD RI, labor issues become the spotlight in the DKI Jakarta area. Dani Anwar (DPD members of DKI Jakarta Province) said that the need for the initiative on setting an adverse employment contracts for contract employees and more focused on the interests of the company.

While the discussion related to the Committee IV of the DPD RI, Ella M. Giri Komala (DPD RI members from West Java Province) reported on the financial balance between central and regional governments are still not equitable. “There DAU and DAK that almost had a deficit in the West Java region, namely in the town of Garut and Tasikmalaya,” said Ella.
