Jakarta, dpd.go.id – The House of Regional Representative of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) held the 4th Plenary Session in Period Session I of the Year 2011-2012 in Nusantara Building V, Parliament Complex Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday morning (06/10/11). The session was led by Chairman of the DPD RI, Irman Gusman, accompanied by Vice Chairwoman II DPD RI, G.K.R. Hemas.

Agenda in the plenary session associated with the Overview of Semester Examination Results submission (IHPS) and the Report of Inspection (LHP) in the period of January 1st to June 30th, 2011 to the DPD RI. This was done in order to fulfill the mandate of the 1945 Constitution and other legislation, which aims to provide comprehensive information about the results of Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) for the management and financial responsibility of the state in a period of one semester.

Chairman of BPK RI, Hadi Poernomo said that the total objects of BPK’s examination in the first semester of 2011 as many as 682 examination objects which are Audit examination as many as 460 examination objects, examination of performance are as many as 14 objects, and Examination of Specific Purpose are 208 examination objects.

“The BPK’s examination is reported in the IHPS I Year 2011, and found as many as 11,430 cases valued around Rp26, 68 trillion. Of the total of the BPK’s examination findings, a total of 3463 cases worth Rp 7, 71 trillion is the findings of noncompliance that resulted in losses, potential losses, and lack of acceptance. During the inspection process has been followed up an entity that is checked by depositing cash into the country / region / company that valued around Rp136, 77 billion (1.77%), “said Hadi.
Based on the results of the BPK in the semester I year 2011, there are still many weaknesses in the management of state finances that need improvement. Therefore, the BPK will continue to encourage government to improve the quality of the management of state finances. “BPK also continues to cooperate with the government and the DPD RI in order to realize the management of state finances that are transparent and accountable. In an effort to improve cooperation between the BPK and the DPD RI, the BPK is openned at any time for dialogue and consultation meetings, “said Hadi.
