Jakarta, dpd.go.id – PREPARATION of Integration and Consolidation Harmonization on conception of amendment draft of the rule of DPD RI regarding the Code became a major discussion in the third plenum session of PPUU DPD RI held in Building B DPD RI, Parliament Complex Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (08/09/11). The session was led by Chairman of PPUU DPD RI, I Wayan Sudirta, accompanied by Vice Chairwoman of PPUU, Hairiah (Senator from West Kalimantan) and Iswandi (DPD Senator from Lampung).

I Wayan Sudirta, Chairman of PPUU/Senator from Bali, initiated the session by reading introductory session, “we carried out the session in this morning with the intention of giving us understanding about the substance in the draft of Code prepared by BK (Honorary Board),” Wayan explained.

The session was continued with the provision of records and views by the expert staff of PPUU concerning the substance of the material in the draft of Code of DPD that needs to be reevaluated, including the issue of institutionalization of fittings; problems on mechanism of action of legislation; problem of writing consistency and drafting; and issues related to leadership tenure and mechanism of leadership dismissal.

Members of PPUU and expert staff of DPD produced several agreements and alternative formulation and it was submitted and reported in the Session of PPUU together with BK with the agenda of Harmonization, Integration, and Stabilization of Conception of Amendment Draft of the Rule of DPD RI about the Code on 9 to11 September.
