Discussion of Working Plan of Field Task III Committee of I DPD
Jakarta, dpd.go.id – Committee I of DPD RI through the Field Task III held a meeting related to the implementation of a meeting with the Minister of Home Affairs, Police Chief of the Republic of Indonesia and Commission of Human Rights, on September 27th.
Meeting chaired by Kamaruddin (DPD senator of the Southeast Sulawesi Province) in the 3rd Floor Meeting Room of B Building of DPD RI, on Wednesday (09/14/11). Related to the Field Task III which covers issues of Regional Expansion, Land and Spatial Planning, Kamaruddin asked the members of the Field Task III to prepare questions about the issues.
Regarding to the implementation of the meeting with Minister of Home Affairs, Luther Kombong (senator of DPD from East Kalimantan Province) concerned about regional expansion that should become DPD’s issue. “The existence of the DPD is representation from each area. Associated with the problem of the regional expansion, DPD should have a bigger role because senators of DPD are familiar with their own regions,” explained Luther.
Meanwhile, Farouk Muhammad (senator of DPD from the Province of West Nusa Tenggara) focused on spatial planning and land issues that received less attention. “Related to land issues, it is not only the land being abandoned but also its policy. Therefore it is necessary to be rescheduled with relevant parties to hear the presentation, “said Farouk.
Paulus Yohannes Sumino (senator of DPD of the Papua Province) observed about Regional Head Election that caused many conflicts and also security issues that became a problem in the territory of Papua. “There should be improvement in regional head election and concrete action regarding to regional head who involved in the case.
