Committee IV Started Discussing Bill on Management of State Receivable and Regional Receivable

Jakarta, dpd.go.id – PLENUM Session of Committee IV of DPD RI on Monday (12/09/2011) discussed the Bill on Management of State Receivable and Regional Receivable. This Bill is proposed by government in lieu of Law no. 49 PRP Year 1960 on the Committee of State Receivable Affairs (PUPN). The meeting chaired by the vice chairman I of Committee IV, Litha Brent, was begun with reading a written speech from the leader of DPD as Conferential Introduction I – Discussion of Bill on Management of State Receivable and Regional Receivable.

The acknowledgment prepared by the vice chairwoman of DPD RI Sector II, GKR. Hemas, conveyed that the state receivable and regional receivable is one of important elements in the State finances. Therefore it must be managed properly in order not to disrupt state finances and development. Leaders of DPD also expect Committee IV can perform a careful discussion on this bill, mainly by collecting the proposal of List of Problem Inventory (DIM) from all provinces as the source of the discussion for Committee IV.

According to Hoesein Effendy (Senator from Southeast Sulawesi Province), Committee IV should be more pro-active in doing the budget supervision function, particularly against the potential of budget abuse either in the central or regional levels. “Through discussion of the Bill on Management of State Receivable and Regional Receivable we have to improve the performance of the supervision, as a responsibility and evidences to the constituents that we are truly working for the interests of the region,” said the retired policeman from Kendari.
