These conditions result in concerns from intellectuals of ICMI (Association of Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals) and intellectuals from a variety of other religions who attended the National Symposium : “Re-actualizing values ​​of Pancasila for the Integration of the Nation: Views of Interfaith intellectuals ” to pour out their concerns through the ideas and thoughts by religious point of view.

Amidhan and Nanat Natsir Fatah, Muslim intellectuals, stated that the re-actualization of Pancasila values ​​needs to be made in connection with the ever-expanding community of behavior contrary to the principles of Pancasila. According to Nanat, Pancasila values ​​can be re-actualized through the socialization of values ​​contained in Pancasila. “it must begin with education and socialization in the family”, he explained in the event of the National Symposium held at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (10/08/11). I Ketut Parwata, Hindu religious leaders, also said a similar thing by adding the need for character education in addition to educational ideology.

Unlike the Protestant intellectuals, R.P. Borrong, who assumed that the re-actualization of the values ​​of Pancasila is not the right word. “What is needed is the ‘actualization’ of this nation as a continuous process”, he explained. In addition, Borrong added that Pancasila actualization strategies include: the need for development policies that pro-people; legislation and legal practice that pro justice; actions of elite society that upholds justice and honesty; notice and give space for the various aspirations of the community.

Sastrapradja, Catholic Christian intellectuals, concluded that the re-actualization of the values ​​of Pancasila can strengthen and shape the character of national integration. This can be realized with the national leadership that is committed in the conduct of transformation.

Surya Citra closed the event with the opinion that the Unity in Diversity is the glue of Indonesia. In addition, the values ​​of Pancasila should always be applied in our daily lives as proof that Pancasila is our way of life. Thus, the Indonesia can be realized in a fair and prosperous Indonesia.
