Jakarta, dpd.go.id – HARDI Selamat Hood (Riau Island) was elected as Chairman of the Committee III in the Plenum of Committee III Chairman Election of Session Year 2011-2012 on Thursday (18/08/2011) at DPD Building Parliament Complex, Senayan – Jakarta. Hardi won with the acquisition of 11 votes followed by Istibsyaroh (East Java) by 8 votes and Muhammad Syibli Sahabuddin (West Sulawesi) by 6 votes.

The session, led by Vice-Chairman, Laode Ida, ran smoothly and fast. At the stage of determining the candidate, Sulistiyo (Central Java) and Elviana (Jambi) resigned so as to facilitate the selection of candidates to three people.

As the new Chairman of Committee III, Hood was grateful for the trust that has been given and hoped be better in leading the Committee III. “I personally and on behalf of friends in front are certainly very much hoping that we can all realize the hopes of Committee III to be better than the past, with God willing,” he concluded.
