Committee IV of DPD RI Prepares the Special Committee on Revenue Sharing

Jakarta, dpd.go.id - ENTERING The First Session Period Session Year 2011 – 2012, Committee IV began discussing a future program of work for the next session. In the Plenary Meeting of the Committee with the material “Discussion of Work program and the Schedule draft of DPD RI Committee IV,” on Monday (22/8/2011), Chairman of Committee IV, Cholid Mahmud, started the meeting by gathering input from members of the Committee on the materials that will be the focus of the Committee for the First Session of this period.
Cholid also reminded that the Draft State Budget (RAPBN) 2012 has started rolling the discussion, so committee IV should be more intensive in overseeing the plot. In connection with the RAPBN, Sarah Lerry Mboik (East Nusa Tenggara Province) proposed a strategic planning for the Committee IV and the formation of small groups to conduct more in-depth study. “There are things that require in-depth review, such as disaggregation of RAPBN, central-local financial balance, and synergy with the Committee for Public Accountability in the follow-up supervision of Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) report,” said Sarah.
In addition to RAPBN 2012, another sticking issue is the problem of Revenue Sharing (DBH) from the tax for the region. Rudolph Pardede (North Sumatera), stated the importance of fighting for Revenue Sharing (DBH) for the region, including production sharing contracts. Given the crucial issue of this Revenue Sharing (DBH), the Committee IV decided the establishment of the Special Committee of Revenue Sharing (DBH Special Committee). Committee IV members assigned to this committee are: Ahmad Farhan Hamid (Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province), H. Zulbahri (Riau Province),GKR. Ayu Koes Indriyah (Central Java Province), Hamdhani (Central Kalimantan Province), Jhon Pieris (Maluku Province), Abdurachman Lahabato (North Maluku Province) and Sofia Maipauw (West Papua Province).
