Jakarta, dpd.go.id – THE CHAIRMAN election of fittings tools of DPD RI on the First Session Period, Session Year 2011-2012 was held at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (08/18/2011). By promoting the principle of representation, the principle of consensus and the principle of equalization, the meeting led by Chairman of the DPD, Irman Gusman (West Sumatera DPD) has an agreement with  the Committee I senators, which directly elect the Chairman Candidate of Committee I . Committee I nominates members from each region to be selected as a candidate for Chairman of Committee I.

Western Region agreed to vote directly, member of DPD RI from West Sumatera Province, Alirman Sori as the chairman. Members of the Committee I of the Central Region agreed to vote directly Dani Anwar as the Chairman of Committee I. While the Eastern Region made an election through voting and the member of the Committee I who was elected as the leader was Paulus Yohanes Sumino (member of DPD RI from Papua Province).

Before becoming the elected chairman, Dani Anwar expressed his readiness to work together to perform and continue the work program during the session of Committee I 2010-2011. “I am ready to work together and continue the work of the Committee I with optimal,” he explained.

The elected candidates agreed to choose who is worthier than the three to become Chairman of Committee I. Irman Gusman established Committee I Chairman by acclamation and Dani Anwar (DPD RI of DKI Jakarta) re-elected as Chairman with Vice Chairman of Committee I Alirman Sori (DPD RI of West Sumatera Province) and Paulus Yohanes Sumino (DPD RI of Papua Province).
