Mataram, dpd.go.id – The House of Regional Representative of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) participates in the exhibition in the region, as a form of socialization of the duties, functions and authority of the DPD to the people. After the success in Telukgelam South Sumatera, the exhibition continues to Gelangang Sports (GOR) Turida Mataram, NTB in the event of the NTB Expo 2011 on the 21^st -25^th of July 2011.

Various attempts are made by the DPD along with its staff to get closer to the people. As an example is the establishment of Parliament Building of Kids zone rides in Makasar. A place to play and learn for children is expected to be a learning medium for children in introducing the world of Parliaments. Chairman of the DPD, Irman Gusman SE, MBA with the Secretary General of DPD RI, Dr. Ir. Siti Nurbaya Bakar, MSc attended the event.

Similar to the implementation in South Sumatera, this NTB Expo at the DPD also shows the Function and Performance of the DPD Tools, the Scenario Process of the certain bill Discussion, Scenario Mechanism of Consideration on the State Budget Bill by the DPD RI to the DPR RI and the discussion and determination of the State Budget Bill; in addition, there are featured films of DPD plenary session, photos of Chairman and Members of the DPD in 2009-2014 period and the activities of the DPD RI Fittings Tool.

“The DPD stand is very nice, with this stand, we, as local communities are able to know our representatives” revealed Hizbullah, a visitor from cooperative service of NTB. Not only Hizbullah, some also reveal that with the presence of DPD stand, people become more familiar with the duties and performance of the DPD and its differences with the DPR.

DPD stand in NTB Expo features regional atmosphere. There are two traditional houses and gate of West Sumatera. The stand also features a variety of crafts from the people of NTB. The combination between the pictures of Parliament Building Senayan combined with regional atmosphere becomes the main attraction of visitors.

On this occasion, the DPD also accommodates the aspirations from the visitors who visited the NTB Expo. Visitors are directed to convey it through the aspiration box of DPD website at www.dpd.go.id.

“For friends in DPD, please be proactive in promoting the NTB region, especially the issue of employment so we do not become migrant workers abroad” said one of the visitors, Zulhadi Saputra.

The stand was openned at 16:30 AM by NTB Governor Muhammad Zainul Majdi and it was attended by hundreds of visitors and the participating agencies, the Governor and Senator from NTB Baiq Diyah Ratu Ganefi who took time to visit the DPD stand with the typical ornate of NTB region. (Har / cdr)
