Jakarta, dpd.go.id. - The Committee III of DPD agreed to propose five sequence programs of the Priority of National Legislation Program (Prolegnas) from 2011 to 2012 to be discussed further at the level of Consultative Committee (Panmus) and Domestic Affairs Committee (PURT). This is summarized in the Committee III Plenum held in Building A DPD Parliament Complex, Senayan – Jakarta, Tuesday (12 / 7).

The five proposals are: the Bill on the Protection of Domestic Workers; the Bill on Nursing; the Bill on Amendments Law no. 1 of 1974 on Marriage; the Bill on Religious Harmony, and the Bill on Amendment Law no. 13 Year 2008 on Implementation of Hajj.

Ahmad Jajuli, Senator of DPD from electoral district of Lampung, said that the five programs are programs which will soon be running in the DPR. These are done so that these programs can be run immediately.

Jajuli argued that if taking a program that is not be-run-out, the initiatives proposed by DPD will be long removed. This is because currently the DPR itself has a lot of business; therefore it is difficult to resolve the given deadline. “If we take that is not be-run-out in the DPR or Government, don’t know when is the time to go forward,” he said.

Whereas according to him, the constituent is currently awaiting the work results of DPD. “The results of our current work were being awaited in which it has been clear that the bill is being discussed,” he said.

In addition, in the meeting the Committee III also discussed the agenda of recess. During the recess that will last from this mid of July, not only to carry out regular agenda, but the Committee III of the DPD will also focus on actual issues in the community (region) as the cost of education / college that is expensive and ill-fated story of migrant workers (TKI). Other materials will be reviewed is about the cost of implementing the pilgrimage. Then, considering the existence of the DPD, particularly in relation to the duties, powers and functions, which have not been so familiar in the eyes of society, the socialization of DPD in the region was also on the agenda during the recess.
