Report presentation of Justness Test Result or Public Test of Village Draft became a discussion on Village Draft Working Team meeting led by Denty Eka Widi Pertiwi, SE., (DPD RI member from Central Java province). The meeting was attended by 7 (seven) members and 2 (two) expert staffs, located in Committee I meeting room 2^nd floor DPD RI B building, Parliament Complex Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (06/06/11).

According to Denty, there are three main problems that must be considered in preparation of the Village Draft, that are village typology; which proposed by DPD RI as indigenous village, self-government village, and rural municipality village, then about village chairman term of office and financial position of village chairman and village officials. “I hope Village Draft that would be applied can accommodate all existing problems” confirmed Denty.

The meeting was started by presentation of public test result from East region represented by I Wayan Sudirta, SH., (DPD RI member from Bali) who held a public test in cooperation with the University of Pattimura Ambon. Proceed with presentation of public test result from Central region that in cooperation with Diponegoro University Semarang was presented by H. Dani Anwar (DPD RI member from DKI Jakarta) and the last report from Dra. Eni Khairani, M.Si, (DPD RI member from Bengkulu) who presented public test result from West region.

The responses from all the public test results that have been implemented in these three regions are very comprehensive. They still want language uniformity, because the proposed typology is perceived would be difficult to be implemented. In addition, expert staff also alluded to the proposal to give the title of the Village Draft which deemed that the term “Village” are too Java centric. Therefore, they proposed to add a word or (replace) with other name or named the Village Law as Basic Government Law.
