The meeting presented the history of DPD RI in relation with the plan of the Amendment of the 1945 Constitution, that DPD RI was formed in 2004, as a result of amendment of the 1945 Constitution, currently DPD RI is in the second period, 2009-2014, which is regional representative of 33 Provinces. DPD RI has the authority to supervise the implementation of laws, to give consideration and opinion, as well as the propose initiative bill relating to regional affairs, such as the issue of regional autonomy, central and local government relations, natural resources and other economic resources.
