DPD Fights for the Front of Poor Governance (FPRM) Demand
DPD will help and fight for the demands of the Front of Poor Governance (FPRM) relating to land expropriation issues of customary rights of the people of South Sumatera and criminalization faced by 2 (two), peasant activists and leaders, at the meeting held in the press room DPD RI, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta Monday (13/06/11).
Ferry F.X. Tinggogoy (Vice Chairman of Committee I DPD) asserted, the DPD will follow up these problems by creating and delivering a letter to the National Defense Agency (BPN) to request their attention about land expropriation of the people’s customary rights.
While the problem of criminalization which are the arrest of 2 (two) figures peasant activists, Junaidi and Kosim, who are both accused of vandalism and about the forgery signature problem by the members of the People’s Representative Body (BPD) Tanjung Medang village will be taken care by the Judicial Commission.
In addition to Ferry F.X. Tinggogoy (DPD Senator from North Sulawesi), FPRM representatives were also welcomed by the DPD Senator from South Sumatera Abdul Azis, Percha Leanpuri, and Aidil Fitri Syah, and Mulyana Isham (DPD Senator from West Sulawesi), Anang Prihantoro (DPD Senator from Lampung), and Jacob Jack Ospara (DPD Senator from Maluku).
