The Opening of Period Session IV DPD RI Session Year 2010-2011
The House of Regional Representatives (DPD) RI held the 12th plenary session Period Session IV Session Year 2010-2011, at Nusantara V Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday morning (10 / 5 / 11). The Session was chaired by the Chairman of DPD RI, Irman Gusman, accompanied by Vice Chairwoman II DPD, G.K.R. Hemas.
Agenda of the session include: 1. The Opening of Period Session IV DPD Session Year 2010-2011; 2. The Opening Speech of Period Session IV Session Year 2010-2011; 3. The Reports of DPD RI Senator Activity Reports in local elections; 4. The Reports of the Task of Special Committee for Papua’s Special Autonomy.
In the opening speech of the session, Irman expressed his concern over the various acts of radicalism or terrorism from a group of people or a certain sect, ranging from book bombs, suicide bombs in Cirebon mosque, bomb threats and terror in several places in Jakarta. “Action of terrorism was causing discomfort, fear and anxiety in the community. Even, the indication is quite obvious that the seeds of terrorism began in dispersive in our young generation, “said Irman.
Still according to Irman, another issue that also deserves serious attention is on the implementation of the National Examination (UN). This is because the education is an important part in the effort to educate the life of the nation. “It’s not only the issues about the UN fraud that becomes the concern of DPD, it is further related to the distribution of education and the right of people from all corners of the country to obtain a quality education and of course the cheap cost,” said Irman.
Meanwhile, the Senator of DPD RI activity reports in local elections in a row was delivered according to a sitting position. North Maluku, represented by Mudaffar Sjah, got the first opportunity to submit the reports.
