The House of Regional Representatives (DPD) RI held the 11^th Plenary Session in Period Session III Session Year 2010-2011 in Nusantara V Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan Jakarta, Friday morning (8/4/11). The session, chaired by the Chairman of DPD RI, Irman Gusman, was accompanied by First Chairman of the DPD, Laode Ida and Second Vice Chairwoman of the DPD, G.K.R. Hemas.

Agenda of the session was the signing of the cooperation with the Judicial Commission (KY), Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia), and various universities in Indonesia, among others, Jambi University, Andalas University, North Sumatera University and the Hairun Ternate University.

Moreover, the plenary session also had the agenda to deliver the overview of semester examination results (IHPS) BPK RI Semester II of 2010, the development reports of DPD RI fittings, the rativication of DPD RI’s decision and the closing speech of the Period Session III Session Year 2010-2011.

In his speech, Irman Gusman said that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between DPD with KY is done in order to improve performance, especially in the form of implementation of the constitutional duty of the DPD. “We think of KY as a strategic partner in fighting and keeping the reformation since both institutions are equally guided by the spirit to restructure the system of national life,” said Irman.

While the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the DPD with Kadin Indonesia is based on increasing the efective cooperation in order to achieve the target of people’s economy and in order to increase regional competitiveness. While cooperation with 4 (four) Universities in Indonesia is in relation to strengthen the Law Center of DPD RI.

After signing a memorandum of understanding, the session was continued by the submission of BPK RI IHPS in Semester II Year 2010, submitted by the Chairman of BPK RI, Hadi Poernomo. Hadi explained that the submission of IHPS and the Audit Reports (LHP) aims to provide comprehensive information about the results of BPK RI for the management and financial responsibility of the state within one semester, which is the period of July 1^st to December 31^st, 2010.

“Total of BPK RI’s inspection object in semester II Year 2010 is as much as 734 examination objects. Details of the examination object is 159 audit objects, 147 performance of examination objects, and 428 examination objects with a specific purpose (PDTT), “said Hadi Purnomo.

On that occasion, BPK RI also gave high appreciation to the Committee for Public Accountability (PAP) of DPD RI for the inputs regarding the presentation of the consolidated results of BPK RI and other things that can improve the quality of BPK RI’s examination.

“In recent consultation meetings, we greatly feel the benefit from such inputs. BPK RI feels optimistic about the increasing function of the PAP of DPD RI, this will be able to increase understanding of DPD RI toward the results of BPK RI, and vice versa the BPK RI understanding of the things that DPD RI desired, “said Hadi Poerrnomo.
