Jakarta – Secretary General of the House of Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD-RI), Siti Nurbaya, asked the employees to improve their performance while fasting and avoid making fasting as the reason to decrease their working performance, then often truant.

“We’re still going to give strict punishment against employees who lounged into work, however working hours is changed from normal to early home, to give opportunities for the employees to have fasting break at home,” she said in a welcoming ceremony in the month of Ramadan 1431 H DPD RI Jakarta, Tuesday (10 / 8).

It is considered important because fasting teaches Muslims to remain disciplined not only in fasting, but also in working, because working was also part of worship.

Moreover, as a servant of the state, they must remain capable of serving the community and the Senators of DPD RI in every session, because it is a form of service for the people, nation and state.
